As we near the end of 2017, the Early Childhood Workforce Initiative (ECWI) is proud to share a “wrap-up” of some of the key activities that have taken place throughout the year.
Three webinars solidified the ECWI’s efforts to support and empower those who work with children under the age of 8 and their families. These webinars focused on some of the ECWI’s key focus areas including; Training and Professional Development, Competences and Standards, Monitoring & Mentoring and Recognition of the Profession. This year, the ECWI continued to upload resources to the Knowledge Hub, adding 32 new resources. The Knowledge Hub currently features 100 resources filtered by the type of resource, the sector the resource refers to, as well as the region or country of focus in the resource.
Additionally, the ECWI was pleased to announce the launch of our first of several country studies. You can find out more about Supporting the early childhood workforce at scale: The Cuna Más home visiting program in Peru at our Knowledge Hub. Research for several more of these crucial studies has begun, though their release will take place in 2018.
